Peter Tsui

Peter K.W. Tsui is a practising barrister and a Registered Professional Engineer. He holds academic qualifications in civil engineering (BEng (McGill)), geotechnical engineering (MEng (McGill)) and law (LLB (London)).

Mr. Tsui is a Member of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (MHKIE) and The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and is on the Hong Kong Government’s List of Dispute Resolution Advisors.

Before joining the legal profession, Mr. Tsui had been working in both the public and private sectors of the engineering and construction industry for more than 30 years. His experience includes the design and management of a number of multi-disciplinary mega projects comprising reclamation, site formation, piling, slope, road, sewerage and building works and resident on site as the Engineer’s Representative. In his involvement in these projects, he has handled and resolved a great number of construction disputes, involving highly complex contractual and technical matters and large claim amount.

Mr. Tsui is fully conversant with the project planning and administration procedures of the Government. When he was a Contract Advisor of the Government, he provided advice to the works departments on a wide range of contractual issues, on tender preparation, contract administration, claim assessment and settlement of disputes with contractors, consultants and developers through the use of negotiation, mediation and arbitration.

Mr. Tsui is practising in both criminal and civil law, in the areas of contract, construction, building management, planning and land.
