solomonSolomon Lam is a practising Barrister, Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng), a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE), a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (FHKIArb), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), HKMAAL and HKIAC Accredited Mediator and on the list of arbitrators.

He obtained PCLL from the University of Hong Kong, C.P.E from Manchester Metropolitan University (with commendation), Master of Arts in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (MAArbDR) from the City University of Hong Kong and Bachelor in Civil Engineering (BEng) from the University of Hong Kong.

Solomon has a broad range of experience in the construction industry before joining the Bar. He worked for engineering consultants, contractors, claims consultants and the MTRC. He participated in building and civil engineering projects such as the Stonecutters Bridge, Discovery Bay North civil engineering works, Shatin-Central Link and Express Rail Link.

Apart from professional practices, Solomon was also appointed as part-time lecturer and visiting lecturer for contract law and property law in various universities. He is also the contributing editor of "Hong Kong Construction Law" (LexisNexis).

Solomon practices mainly construction, personal injury, building management and land disputes.

Whilst Solomon appeared before different level of courts and tribunals, he recently appeared before the Court of Appeal in the case of Cheung Kwong Yuen v Sun Hui Fang [2016] 1 HKLRD 464.
