Mr. Lam photoSolomon Lam is a practising Barrister, Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng), a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE), a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (FHKIArb), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), HKMAAL and HKIAC Accredited Mediator and on the list of arbitrators.

He obtained PCLL from the University of Hong Kong, C.P.E from Manchester Metropolitan University (with commendation), Master of Arts in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (MAArbDR) from the City University of Hong Kong and Bachelor in Civil Engineering (BEng) from the University of Hong Kong.

Apart from professional practices, Solomon was also appointed as part-time lecturer and visiting lecturer for contract law and property law in various universities. He was also the contributing editor of "Hong Kong Construction Law" (LexisNexis).

Solomon practices mainly construction, arbitration, personal injury, building management and land disputes.

Solomon appeared before different level of courts and tribunals. He recently appeared in the Court of Appeal in the case of Cheung Kwong Yuen v Sun Hui Fang [2016] 1 HKLRD 464, Eternity Contracting & Engineering Company Limited v The Jardine Engineering Corporation, Limited (CACV236/2016) and Lok Man Fai Felix v Architects Registration Board [2019] HKCA 405.

Solomon was appointed as the junior counsel for the Commission of Inquiry into the Diaphragm Wall and Platform Slab Construction Works at the Hung Hom Station Extension under the Shatin to Central Link Project and the Chariman of Appeal Tribunal Panel (Buildings) from 1 December 2018 to 30 November 2021.

Solomon has been recognized by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2022 as one of the “Leading Juniors” in the practice area of Construction and Property of the Hong Kong Bar.
